Commentaires sur l'espèce
Le Triton alpestre est une espèce d'Europe centrale présente dans la moitié nord-est de la France. En Île-de-France, il se rencontre principalement au sein des grands massifs (Rambouillet, Notre-Dame) et des vallées bocagères comme celle du Petit-Morin. Il devient rare à mesure que l'on descend dans le Sud de la région.
Statut de conservation
L'Île-de-France se situant au niveau de la limite d'aire de répartition sud-ouest de l'espèce, son statut de menace est difficile à évaluer. Ainsi, la région possède une forte responsabilité quant à sa conservation. Globalement, il existe peu de menaces sur les populations situées en milieu forestier mais la situation de celles localisées en milieux bocager est beaucoup plus instable.
