Informations espèce

Commentaires sur l'espèce

La tâche en forme de lune sur les élytres peut aider à l’identification. La couleur, comme chez beaucoup de Gomphocerinae est très variable. Son chant particulier est généré par des fémurs aux mouvements asynchrones.

Ciblage des prospections

Cette espèce est présente dans la quasi-totalité des régions de France. En Île-de-France, il est localisé mais encore assez fréquent. Les stridulations, reconnaissables, sont émises par les mâles adultes entre fin mai et fin octobre. Il est à rechercher sur tous les secteurs de talus ou de côteaux secs où l'herbe jaunie en été.
