Commentaires sur l'espèce

La courtilière peuplait autrefois davantage les jardins privés, mais l’homme l’a peu à peu chassé de cet habitat. Orthoptère massif, on ne peut la confondre dans la région.

Ciblage des prospections

La connaissance du chant et des traces laissées par les terriers de la courtilière permet de cibler les prospections. Les individus ont une activité plutôt nocturne et leur vie souterraine les rend difficile à observer. Les adultes se montrent toute l’année.
