Commentaires sur l'espèce

Les mâles patrouillent leur biotope au ras de la végétation basse, de façon quasi-ininterrompue.

Ciblage des prospections

Identification nécessitant un examen attentif : confusion possible avec d'autres espèces.
La discrimination avec les autres Nacrés, notamment ceux du genre Boloria, se fera par l’observation attentive des motifs présents sur le revers des ailes postérieures. Il convient d’éviter d’utiliser le critère de taille à lui seul (Petit, Grand Collier) pour une détermination sans équivoque, des variations de taille entre individus de chaque espèce existant. Chez B. selene le revers des ailes postérieures présente 3 taches nacrées (brillantes) et un point noir cellulaire bien distinct.
